Fishing at Lower Lakes

Rules for fishing at Lower Lakes.

Our rules are simple and are actually just common sense for those who are keen fisherman.

We only ask that you look after the fish and the environment and leave the place as you found it.

As not everyone is able to look after what has been made available to them, we have some rules. Failure to keep to them will mean you will be banned from using our site.

  1. Only two rods per person and rods must not be left unattended.
  2. Juniors under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  3. All nets must be dipped in the dip provided before use.
  4. Keep nets are only allowed for silverfish.
  5. A landing net must be used for all fish.
  6. An unhooking mat must be used.
  7. Barbless hooks only.
  8. Baits must be used in moderation; however, nuts, seeds, cat & dog meats are banned.
  9. No bait on top of the water.
  10. No fires allowed.
  11. No overnight fishing or camping allowed.
  12. Clean up all litter and leave the place as you found it.

Obeying these few simple rules will help us look after our fish and lakes so that many more people can enjoy fishing at Lower Lakes.

Thank you!
